Case Study: How Far Do You Want To Go: Lessons from a Common-Sense Billionaire

BEST SELLERS

Born on the small Greek island of Nisyros,JohnCatsimatidisimmigrated to the United States with his family in 1948 and quickly became a true New Yorker, raised in Harlem. He went to school and worked in a grocery store until, just eight credits short of graduating from New York University, he was offered the opportunity to buy the grocery store. Today, that grocery business has evolved into the Red Apple Group, a conglomerate with interests in energy, real estate, aviation, baseball, entertainment, and media, including the iconic radio station WABC.

Our approach to launching the book was to feature the entrepreneurial lessons shared in the book, highlighting Mr. Catsimatidis’ success across different industries.  We targeted national media, podcasts, local and national radio, print, online outlets and NYC media. The book made it onto the Wall Street Journal Bestseller list.  In addition, we set up a series of book talks and book donations with universities in the local New York/New Jersey area. They were so successful that we have expanded the initiative to include business schools across the country.

TESTIMONIALS

Working with Planned Television Arts was like taking a test drive in a Corvette. It was fantastic. The PTA folks are consummate professionals, and they showed that in their excellent promotion for Black Voices. They helped position Black Voices as "Black America's Favorite Web Site."
