WEEKLY STANDARD FEATURES MC AUTHOR CURT SMITH

Curt Smith is a former White House speechwriter who penned "The President and the Pastime: The History of Baseball and the White House" -- a political history of baseball.

In its coverage, the Weekly Standard points out that Smith does a great job "remind[ing] us that our nation sees and reveres baseball much as it does the presidency." The book was also recently reviewed by the Chicago Tribune and received praise from the Galveston County Daily News, which called it "a sunny book and a perfect summer read."

TESTIMONIALS

Working with Planned Television Arts was like taking a test drive in a Corvette. It was fantastic. The PTA folks are consummate professionals, and they showed that in their excellent promotion for Black Voices. They helped position Black Voices as "Black America's Favorite Web Site."
