Altered Genes, Twisted Truth
Steven M. Druker
MEDIA CONNECT conducted a boutique campaign for public interest attorney Steven M. Druker’s book Altered Genes, Twisted Truth. The book tells the fascinating and frequently astounding story of how the massive enterprise to restructure the genetic core of the world’s food supply came into being, how it advanced by consistently violating the protocols of science, and how for more than three decades, hundreds of eminent biologists and esteemed institutions have systematically contorted the truth in order to conceal the unique risks of its products–and get them onto our dinner plates. MC executed a national campaign with an emphasis on traditional media (print, TV, radio), online outlets, as well as social media and the organization of three press conferences, which featured preeminent primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall as a special guest. These press conferences took place in Washington, DC, Toronto, and Salt Lake City, UT.
The Sparkle Box by Jill Hardie
MEDIA CONNECT conducted a boutique campaign for The Sparkle Box, which is a beautiful children’s book that inspires children and families to give to others during the holiday season. Readers would record these special events on slips of paper and drop them in the sparkle box that was included within the book, which they could open together on Christmas day in honor of Jesus’ birthday. It’s a wonderful new tradition for families to remember the true meaning of Christmas.
At Any Cost by Mike & Hayley Jones
MEDIA CONNECT was hired for a boutique campaign for At Any Cost, which is a powerful memoir about a couple that adopted eight siblings from Sierra Leone, making them the Jones Dozen. The campaign consisted of National Broadcast campaign, a Morning Drive Radio Tour and Nashville Media.
The Miracle of the Kurds by Stephen Mansfield
MEDIA CONNECT promoted The Miracle of the Kurds: A Remarkable Story of Hope Reborn In Northern Iraq (Worthy Publishing) by bestselling author Stephen Mansfield. The Kurds, descendants of the ancient Medes best known today from the pages of the Bible —are the inhabitants of what the world now calls Northern Iraq. Mansfield chronicles how Saddam Hussein brutally attempted to annihilate them, massacring hundreds of thousands of them in the process, and how those that survived have rebuilt and overcome oppression to create a homeland now called a “must-see destination” by National Geographic.
