MC Interactive offers online media services that focus on community building, engagement, and overall outreach to relevant bloggers, microbloggers, traditional online outlets, as well as to web-based powerhouses like About.com.

We conduct in-depth online landscape analyses, examining a variety of metrics, ultimately identifying key blogs, websites, and social networks of influence. Our approach is organic, as we tailor each pitch according to the outlet and overall campaign message, in an attempt to garner as much grassroots buzz as possible.

Our community building and outreach services also extend to the work we do with clients on social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.). We work closely with our clients to develop creative and consistent content on each platform, drawing their attention to their target audience and relevant digital dialogue. We offer one-on-one social media consultations and coaching sessions in person, by phone, and over Skype, so that clients can develop or strengthen their social media competency and comfort.

Online Media Outreach

When we do online media outreach we cover a wide variety of sites from portal sites (Yahoo, MSN) and traditional outlets online (WSJ.com, Forbes.com, MSNBC.com), to web-based powerhouses (iVillage, About) and a variety of appropriate niche blogs. Each avenue requires a different type of approach. We take pride in knowing the online landscape and approaching journalists and bloggers with appropriate messages delivered through appropriate channels.

Blog Tours

MC Interactive can book a blog tour to coincide with the release of your book. This involves securing a certain number of placements (interviews, guest blog posts, and reviews) typically over a 2-3 week time period. These tours require plenty of lead time and not every book is appropriate for this kind of blog tour. When appropriate they can be a very effective marketing tool.

Social Media Campaigns

Social media is so powerful because it is organic. We have successfully worked with authors as social media partners. Our team of social media specialists is skilled at guiding authors through the social media platforms most appropriate for their campaign and its goals. Our job is to stay on top of all of the latest tools and trends so that you don’t have to. We will identify the most effective tools -- be it Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, Ning, etc. -- for your campaign. We will guide you through best practices and lend content support where possible.

We work closely with authors to tap into their strengths and expand their digital comfort zones. In addition to consulting on social media and offering ghosting services across platforms, MC Interactive offers DIY seminars and workshops, as well as creative, consistent content development and social media strategies.

Website Design

MC Interactive works with an extremely talented team of web designers to build attractive and easy-to-use author websites. We place a strong emphasis on clean, branded sites that serve up your content in an easy-to-digest fashion. Features include:

  • RSS Feeds that can be used to deliver your message to your audience

As they say “Content Is King” and these days your content strategy might be the most important part of your marketing campaign – and in many ways it is more important than the site design itself.
